Waay to many push notifications

The entire reason I got this app was to stay alert to weather, but cant handle the amount of crap this news app floods my phone with. It is 5 times a day of "legislative council just approved budget" type of headlines.

Could you scale it back a notch or make it dedicated towards bad weather?
